RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Rotate weekend call every four weeks

• Call shifts utilized to fill evening/night staffing holes Monday through Thursday

• Typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours

• Maximum of 60 hours of work and call combined per week

• 3+ years of operating room experience required

• Trauma experience required

• Shift and call flexibility required

• CNOR certification preferred

• Burn, robotic, and neuro experience preferred

• BLS certification required

• Must follow AORN standards for dress code

• Work with Meditech EMR system

• Handle diverse surgical procedures including burn care, dental, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, open heart, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, psychiatry, robotics, trauma, and urology

• Must demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and be a team player

• Open and outgoing personality with forward-thinking approach required

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive operating room department with 13 operating rooms on the 2nd floor of the main building. The facility maintains a robust surgical program with 25 registered nurses and 29 certified surgical technologists providing coverage across multiple shifts. The department handles a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, burn care, neurosurgery, cardiac procedures, and robotic surgery, with specialized trauma teams available during off-hours and weekend coverage.
