IntroductionAs the Director of Float Pool you will be responsible for the operations of this specialized inpatient unit. We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing excellent patient care and has the ability to lead, coach and mentor our skilled staff in providing excellent care to patients and their families.

- You will have experience with role modeling and sustaining patient and family‑centered care and direct staff as they care for patients and educate families.
- You will ensure high quality, patient‑centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the units, in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring.
- You will be responsible for staffing; hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff.
- You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
- You will develop and communicate a shared vision for the department consistent with the hospital’s vision.
- You will be skilled at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of staff performance and work with them on training and development accordingly.
- You will have the ability to effectively control overtime and meet productivity budgets.
- You will develop care coordination policies and procedures to promote improved quality, safety, and efficiency in care.
- You will foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments and ensure staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
- Current Idaho nursing license in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
- Joint Commission certification within one year of start date.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of previous leadership in a clinical role.
EASTERN IDAHO REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER (EIRMC) is a full‑service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho.
