Aggregate Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead aggregate production and third‑party crushing activities across the Southeast Idaho & Wyoming sub‑region. This role oversees all aspects of safety, compliance, production planning, quality control, and resource management for multiple aggregate sites. Will directly supervise four Crusher Supervisors and ensure operational excellence across all locations.

• Evaluate production capacity and resource availability to meet current and future demand.
• Lead strategic sourcing and procurement of long‑term aggregate reserves.
• Develop and manage production schedules for internal crews and third‑party crushing partners.
• Own full P&L responsibility for all aggregate operations in the sub‑region.
• Drive safety, quality, and operational efficiency across all plant sites.
• Hire, train, and develop operational teams to achieve high performance.
• Forecast monthly production volumes and costs to support business planning.
• Manage inventory levels and reporting, including quarterly and year‑end counts.
• Analyze production, QC, maintenance, and operational data to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Implement process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure and manage site performance.
• Oversee maintenance planning and reliability practices to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with sales and quality control teams to meet customer demand and long‑term product needs.
• Travel regularly to multiple aggregate locations, including overnight stays as required.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational, safety, and financial goals.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as needed to support business objectives.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or high school diploma with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams at multiple experience levels.
• Strong background in aggregate production, delivery, sales, or customer service.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA/MSHA, DEQ, EPA, and local roadway regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated success in multi‑site operations management.
• Highly self‑directed, results‑driven, and capable of working with minimal oversight.
