Mountain View Hospital – Medical Assistant / CMA / CNA
The Medical Assistant/CMA or CNA assists providers in care, medical record documentation, and treatment so patients can receive quality care. The role includes obtaining and processing doctors' orders, and providing good customer service on the phone as well as to patients, doctors, and other medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including direct support and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate medical records and support documentation of treatments.
- Obtain and process doctors' orders and coordinate care tasks.
- Deliver courteous customer service to patients, staff, and callers.

QualificationsEducation & Certification: Graduation from an accredited High school program or higher. Certificate of training for Nurse’s Aide. Current BLS. Valid driver’s license.
Experience: CMA course preferred, not required. Preferable, but not mandatory, 6 months of PACU/Medical Surgical experience.
Equipment/Technology: Experience with computers and office equipment, required.
Language & Communication: The ability to read and communicate effectively in English, thereby ensuring effective communication with all hospital staff, medical staff, patients and their families. Bilingual is a plus. Must understand medical terminology.

Mental Capabilities: Must be able to make sound judgments, organized, multi‑tasker, and a critical thinker. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain good attention to detail over long periods.
Interpersonal: Good communication skills and ability to work well with others. Team player and flexible.
Performance: Capable of working well under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines. Good customer service skills. Basic computer knowledge and basic knowledge of CPSI and patient scheduling. Ability to handle/defuse conflict issues with patients, their families and staff.
