Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Urology Non-Clinical Lead to join our team!
Job SummaryResponsible for managing effective team workflow and training new hires on how they can best serve patients and non-clinical teams of employees. Will provide oversight of staff as well as the following listed duties.

Duties And Responsibilities- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and efficiency in the direct area he/she is supervising. Also demonstrates general knowledge of EMR and company policies and procedures.
- Accepts responsibility and accountability for own actions. Works well under pressure and is able to prioritize tasks and workflow for self and team members.
- Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, including establishing a trusted, respected and effective relationship between him/herself and all non‑clinical department members. Provides guidance and support for all team members.
- Ability to set goals and deadlines for team performance and communicate them effectively to team members.
- Provides clear expectations to team members on daily duties and ensures that employees understand such duties and delegated tasks. Monitors each team member’s productivity and quality.
- Responsible for new hire training or training delegation and retraining for other team members as needed in non‑clinical areas (Insurance Auth/Surgery Scheduling/Front Reception/Referrals/PBX). Must ensure that employees understand training material and have clear expectations of job duties and other responsibilities by completing an employee competency on each team member.
- Provides positive feedback and constructive criticism to team members when needed, even in uncomfortable situations. Documents coaching’s.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures and recommends disciplinary action for team members when needed. Consults with the department manager, director and HR before action is taken.
- Ability to maintain an optimistic and positive attitude towards team members to keep a boosted morale within the department. Also advocates this same approach among team members.
- Ability to resolve in‑office conflicts between co‑workers and/or other members of the workplace that involve the supervisor’s team members
- Appropriate and immediate assistance with escalated patient complaints when the supervisor is requested. Ability to de‑escalate upset patients and adverse situations.
- Schedules regular meetings with team members and other personnel as needed to discuss changes in workflow or other items that need to be addressed.
- Assists the department manager with the hiring process, schedules and attends job interviews, verifies references.
- Assists with job descriptions as they change or as a new position is added
- Assists manager and director with other duties as needed.

QualificationsEducation/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Several years of experience in field preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Adequate computer and typing skills. Ability to use various software programs and procedure software
Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Excellent communication skills required for interacting with staff and other personnel inside and outside of office

Basic skills required.
Mental Capabilities: Able to deal with a high‑stress environment and handle difficult situations such as in‑office conflict and patient/provider complaints
Interpersonal: Able to interact with staff, patients and outside personnel in a polite, political, and efficient manner.
