We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will play a key part in providing high-quality patient care and supporting providers with patient history, vitals, laboratory work, immunizations, medication reconciliation, and phone call returns.
Position OverviewFull-time – 40 hours per week.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Maintain general appearance, cleanliness, inventory, and organization of clinical areas.
- Prepare and replenish supplies; maintain inventory and expiration dates.
- Prepare patients for examination.
- Take patient histories, height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, oxygenation levels, and pulse.
- Prepare and administer patient medication under provider’s supervision.
- Assist in specimen collection and completion of laboratory tests.
- Receive and organize medication samples; conduct monthly expiration checks.
- Properly dispose of contaminated and disposable items.
- Assist in scheduling, registration, and maintenance of patient medical records.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Observe patient care during treatments such as TMS therapy or SPRAVATO®.
- Communicate medical treatment, pharmaceutical, and related information to patients and health care providers.
- Ensure absolute confidence regarding patient records and information.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing medical billing and financial recordkeeping.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and ability to interpret financial reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to variable tasks.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment screening and background check.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
