Job SummaryThe surgical supply technician ensures that all members of the surgical team have the appropriate supplies to perform scheduled surgical services. They also work in Sterile Processing performing duties including cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing the supplies, instruments and equipment. Facilitates and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times.

- Prepare and pick for all surgical cases on schedule; stay stocked for four days in advance of schedule.
- Order supplies needed for each surgical case and keep par‑level supplies fully stocked in Pre‑op, PACU, and Surgery areas.
- Order stock for anesthesia and stock all operating rooms each day.
- Receive stock and put it in appropriate storage spaces.
- Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein and as requested by the Central Supply Supervisor.
- Is fully knowledgeable of policies and procedures of IFCH.
- Pick cases in timely manner.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full‑time, part‑time or PRN status classification.
Qualifications- Education/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in instrument processing functions preferred.
- Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Mental Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Can adapt to rapidly changing workloads due to changes in the surgery census. Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work well with others.
- Performance: Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles required. Ability to respond quickly to physician and patient needs. Can work well under pressure and meet multiple and competing deadlines with ability to multitask.
