Position: Employee Relocation Request System Configuration Management Administrator

Job Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Employee Relocation Request System Configuration Management Administrator to work on our Campus Development Office team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus in Idaho Falls, , with every other Friday off.

The Employee Relocation Request System Configuration Management Administrator establishes and maintains consistency of information for employee locations and room configurations data, particularly as changes to laboratory-level requirements and physical equipment are made. You will function as the first point of contact and liaison for the relocation process and play a critical role in the Space Management organization by managing information flow and accuracy throughout the challenging task of relocating staff.

You will be a key team member contributing to effective space management and the overall accuracy of maintaining space information by using experience and independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Failure to obtain results for erroneous decisions or recommendations could impact research outcomes through failure to deliver timely space solutions.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
  • Integrate configuration management of location information into other business processes that could, through an unmanaged change, impact the configuration of data inputs or physical facility configurations that could lead to safety concerns or issues (e.g. Fire Department responding to a space that is not aligned with iMap employee location information).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline programmatic execution of employee relocations using Archibus tools and processes.
  • Provide integration and collaboration between department administrators, space coordinators, relocation planners, information management and move crews.
  • Provide furniture design options for reconfigurations and remodels of office and common spaces.
  • Establish and deploy aspects of the space design process, location and room data configuration management, and resulting documentation.
  • Collaborate with all facets of INL management and staff within the laboratory and with subcontracted teaming partners. Primary point of contact with internal team members and customers for relocation and space configuration requests.
  • Use other business systems data combined with Archibus employee location information to assess utilization.
  • Function in a leadership role to collaborate with and develop other staff involved in the relocation process.
  • Develop training manuals and presentations and conduct monthly training sessions with end users of the relocation request system.

  • Develop and maintain a trusted and effective partnership with Space Management, Information Management and associated peers.
  • Maintain expertise with Archibus space management software.
  • Execute assigned responsibilities within defined cost, scope and schedule, and in accordance with expectations and authorities.
  • Provide solutions that are thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Comply with Laboratory policies, standards and procedures.
  • Perform safe, secure, cost-effective and compliant work.
Authorities
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Frequent use and application of standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific work assignments. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program work.
  • Perform assigned duties given general direction.
  • Independently determine and develop approaches and solutions to space management needs and challenges.
Required
  • Level 3:
    Bachelor of Science degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or an advanced degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or 11 years of relevant working experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
