Overview
NuCube Energy is an advanced technology company dedicated to resolving energy security challenges. The company s mission is to develop nuclear reactors that are simple, cost-effective, and inherently safe, capable of supplying both electricity and process heat. NuCube has created a reactor capable of generating heat in excess of 1,000°C without the need for water or gas cooling, utilizing few moving components and delivering high efficiency.
Responsibilities- Team leadership: supervise and mentor engineering teams.
- Management: responsible for planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects and associated budgets.
- Lead the engineering team to develop reactor designs from concept through final design.
- Lead the engineering team to support licensing activities.
- Collaboration:
lead engineering support for reactor licensing, customer needs, etc. - Develop, implement, and maintain an engineering program that complies with the NuCube Quality Management System.
- Ensures timely and effective review, tracking, and trending of performance.
- Provides adequate planning, scheduling, and resources to implement requirements utilizing a graded approach.
- Ensures adequate staffing of qualified personnel.
- Oversee management assessments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years direct related experience in the nuclear industry (DOE nuclear facility authorization, NRC or CNSC). Demonstrated experience in effectively managing or working in nuclear engineering programs is a non-negotiable requirement.
Overall, Job Knowledge and Performance: In-depth understanding of nuclear facility and reactor engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
Management: Demonstrated ability to manage others and coordinate across multiple organizations to provide solutions in a timely manner.
Preferred skills and experience- Design engineering of nuclear facilities and reactors.
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge with applicable codes and standards.
- A proven ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong teambuilding skills.
- Adept at collaborating with others.
- Commercial Grade Dedication.
- Nuclear construction practices.
Idaho Falls strongly preferred. Potential for hybrid work.
