Vice President of Engineering

Overview

NuCube Energy is an advanced technology company dedicated to resolving energy security challenges. The company s mission is to develop nuclear reactors that are simple, cost-effective, and inherently safe, capable of supplying both electricity and process heat. NuCube has created a reactor capable of generating heat in excess of 1,000°C without the need for water or gas cooling, utilizing few moving components and delivering high efficiency.

• Team leadership: supervise and mentor engineering teams.
• Management: responsible for planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects and associated budgets.
• Lead the engineering team to develop reactor designs from concept through final design.
• Lead the engineering team to support licensing activities.
• Collaboration:
  
  lead engineering support for reactor licensing, customer needs, etc.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an engineering program that complies with the NuCube Quality Management System.
• Ensures timely and effective review, tracking, and trending of performance.
• Provides adequate planning, scheduling, and resources to implement requirements utilizing a graded approach.
• Ensures adequate staffing of qualified personnel.
• Oversee management assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 15 years  direct related experience in the nuclear industry (DOE nuclear facility authorization, NRC or CNSC). Demonstrated experience in effectively managing or working in nuclear engineering programs is a non-negotiable requirement.

Overall, Job Knowledge and Performance: In-depth understanding of nuclear facility and reactor engineering concepts, principles, and theories.

Management: Demonstrated ability to manage others and coordinate across multiple organizations to provide solutions in a timely manner.
