Viking Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned group of emergency and urgent care hospitals with locations in Nampa, Idaho Falls, and Moscow,  our founding in 2022, we’ve been dedicated to providing exceptional care during critical times in pets’ lives, staying open after hours, on nights, and weekends to support both pets and their owners.

A Client Service Representative (CSR) at Viking Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care for our clients. Our CSRs are the heart of the client experience, ensuring each interaction reflects our dedication to transparency, honesty, and care. You are the first impression clients will have of Viking Veterinary Hospital, and your final interaction can leave a lasting impact, turning around their entire visit.

You are essential to their overall experience.

Just as our medical staff is to our patients, you are to our clients—a critical part of their emergency journey, offering the reassurance and support they need during stressful times.

Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication & Triage:
  • Greet clients upon arrival, assess the urgency of their situation, and notify the veterinary team promptly.
  • Answer high-volume phone calls and respond to client inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Guide clients through the emergency intake process, collecting vital information about their pets and their medical history.
  • Maintain a calm and composed demeanor while addressing urgent and often emotional client concerns.
  • Check-In & Check-Out:
  • Manage the check-in process efficiently, ensuring clients understand necessary forms and procedures, including emergency consent.
  • Facilitate client check-outs and process payments accurately.
  • Ensure all client questions are answered before they leave.
  • Client Records & Payments:
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date client and patient records during intake and discharge.
  • Ensure proper billing, handling emergency estimates, processing payments, and explaining payment plans to clients when needed.
  • Support clients in emotionally sensitive situations, including discussing financial options, euthanasia, or cremation services.
  • Support to Veterinary Team:
  • Coordinate patient flow in the hospital, ensuring seamless communication between the front desk and medical staff, prioritizing cases based on urgency.
  • Crisis Management:
  • Handle high-stress situations with poise and professionalism, staying calm under pressure and helping to de-escalate emotional situations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary team, providing updates and managing client expectations during emergency situations.
  • Maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with upset or distressed clients, ensuring that their experience is as positive as possible under the circumstances.
