About the Role
As a Principal Designer, you will lead design strategy for large-scale client programs and
establish north-star experiences for data-driven solutions. You’ll partner with client
executives, business consultants, and technology leaders to uncover opportunities, shape
roadmaps, and deliver transformative experiences through design.
You’ll steer projects across industries such as finance, healthcare, education, and the public
sector—crafting AI-enabled platforms, service ecosystems, and enterprise-grade design
systems. You will elevate design maturity, create reusable frameworks, and build high-trust
relationships that grow our impact and client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Define and drive design strategy for multi-year client programs; establish north-star
visions and phased adoption plans
Advise client leadership on design-led transformation; translate business priorities
into actionable design opportunities
Lead discovery at scale (stakeholder interviews, service blueprints, capability
mapping) and synthesize insights into strategic design roadmaps
Shape proposals and pre-sales with compelling narratives, case studies, and
measurable outcomes; influence engagement models and delivery plans
Design Execution
Oversee the design of complex service ecosystems and data-driven solutions, ensuring usability, transparency, and inclusivity
Institutionalize standards for responsible AI design (explainability, human oversight, and ethical considerations)
Develop frameworks, guidelines, and reusable patterns that scale across multiple client engagements
Drive measurement of design impact through KPIs, usability metrics, and adoption analytics Design Systems & Governance
Sponsor and govern enterprise-grade design systems for consistency, accessibility, and scalability across engagements
Establish design governance practices (reviews, heuristics benchmarks, accessibility compliance) to ensure quality and alignment
Champion inclusive design, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA), and privacy-by- design principles
Team Mentorship & Collaboration
Build and mentor a high-performing design team; set career paths, growth plans,
and leadership development for senior designers
Foster a culture of excellence, feedback, and continuous learning through critiques,
design ops, and communities of practice
Partner with engineering, data science, and consulting teams to ensure feasibility,
quality, and timely delivery
Represent design in executive forums; communicate strategy, risks, and trade-offs
with clarity and influence
Required Qualifications & Professional Experience
10+ years of experience in UI/UX/service design with a portfolio demonstrating large-scale, data-intensive, and AI-enabled solutions
Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and complex client programs; track record of advancing design maturity and delivering measurable outcomes
Experience in consulting or services environment, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategic engagements
Proven ability to implement Design Thinking methods—planning and facilitating discovery, ideation, and co-creation workshops with diverse stakeholders
Tools & Primary Skills
Mastery of Figma, Fig Jam, and design system governance; deep expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and data visualization
Strong understanding of accessibility, compliance, and ethical design practices
Ability to connect design strategy to business objectives, operational efficiency, and client success metrics
Other Skills
Executive presence, exceptional storytelling, and negotiation skills
Thought leadership (frameworks, playbooks, workshops) and ability to mentor senior
talent
Experience managing designer allocation across multiple projects—tracking
bandwidth, forecasting needs, and maintaining oversight of assignments to ensure
balanced workloads and timely delivery
Educational background in Information Design, Visual Communication, Human
- Centred Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
