About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant / Lead to drive end-to-end ABAP development and HANA-based enhancements for enterprise SAP systems. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP programs and applications on HANA, collaborating with functional teams, and ensuring high-performance solutions .
Key Responsibilities
Lead ABAP development on SAP HANA , including custom programs, reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces.
Design, develop, and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views, AMDP, and HANA-optimized code .
Work on performance tuning, code optimization, and HANA-specific techniques .
Collaborate with functional consultants (SD, MM, FICO, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into ABAP solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior ABAP developers.
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) : requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards .
Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects) on SAP HANA.
Support system upgrades, migrations, and post-go-live production support .
Work in Agile / Scrum environment with strong collaboration and documentation practices.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience , including hands-on work on SAP HANA .
Strong experience in ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, HANA views, and SQL Script .
Expertise in RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) .
Experience with performance tuning and optimization for HANA-based applications.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori, OData services, and UI5 development is a plus.
Good knowledge of SAP modules integration (SD, MM, FICO, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills .
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills .
Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery environment .
SAP ABAP/HANA Certification is a plus.
