Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Cognos Developer with 8+ years of strong expertise in Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehousing, and Reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level BI solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement BI solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop Framework Manager models, packages, and data modules.
Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Cognos tools.
Optimize and tune reports and queries for performance and scalability.
Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure reporting needs are met accurately.
Perform data modeling and collaborate with Data Warehousing teams.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve BI-related issues.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards.
Support production deployments and provide ongoing maintenance.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Dashboarding, Data Modules).
Experience in SQL and working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Good understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in enterprise-level BI implementations.
Knowledge of other BI tools is an added advantage.
Exposure to Agile methodologies.
