Role Overview
You will own and execute the SEO strategy at Steps AI. Your goal is simple: increase qualified organic traffic and turn search visibility into an inbound pipeline across traditional search engines as well as AI-powered and answer-driven search experiences.
This role is perfect for someone who understands search intent, structured content, and how modern search (including generative AI platforms) surfaces information. You should enjoy working with data and know how to turn keyword opportunities into measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct keyword research focused on high-intent B2B search terms and question-based queries
Build SEO-driven content strategies in collaboration with the content team
Optimise website pages, blogs, landing pages, and structured content for on-page SEO and answer visibility
Structure content to improve featured snippet capture, People Also Ask rankings, and zero-click performance
Implement and optimise schema markup and structured data to improve search and AI discoverability
Perform technical SEO audits and coordinate fixes with developers
Manage internal linking and site structure improvements
Track rankings, traffic, featured snippet performance, and AI visibility using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics
Use SEO tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush for analysis and competitor research
Identify backlink opportunities and support link-building initiatives
Monitor algorithm updates and evolving AI search trends, adjusting strategy accordingly
Optimise content to improve discoverability and citation potential in generative search platforms
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
Skills:
1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience
Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO basics
Experience with keyword research, search intent mapping, and question-based content optimisation
Ability to analyze traffic, ranking, and visibility data to generate insights
Experience working with blogs or content-heavy websites
Understanding of structured content formatting and featured snippet optimisation
Good to Have:
Experience in B2B, SaaS, or tech industries
Familiarity with CMS platforms like Word Press
Understanding of conversion optimisation basics
Exposure to schema markup or structured data implementation
Awareness of how AI-driven search and generative platforms surface content
