We are seeking an experienced  Manager of Dev Ops  to lead Dev Ops and automation initiatives supporting our cloud modernization and large-scale data platform programs.

Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across cloud-native and big data environments. You will lead a team of Dev Ops engineers while actively contributing to architecture, automation, CI/CD strategy, and cloud migration initiatives.
The ideal candidate balances technical depth with people leadership, thrives in distributed environments, and can translate business priorities into scalable Dev Ops delivery frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead and mentor a Dev Ops and automation team (8–15 engineers).
Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
Support hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Provide structured coaching and career development guidance.
Champion modern Dev Ops best practices across teams.
2. Dev Ops Strategy & Execution
Drive implementation of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and orchestration practices.
Standardize Dev Ops tooling, workflows, and automation patterns across product teams.
Build and maintain reliable deployment pipelines for mission-critical data processing systems.
Ensure scalable automation frameworks for SQL and Spark-based big data workloads.
Promote Git workflows, branching strategies, and code governance standards.
3. Cloud & Infrastructure Management
Oversee cloud infrastructure operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
Manage infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
Lead Kubernetes cluster management, networking, scaling, and security hardening.
Drive cost optimization, monitoring, and operational hygiene initiatives.
Ensure disaster recovery preparedness and business continuity readiness.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Platform Engineering, SRE, Data Engineering, ML, and Security teams.
Contribute to Dev Sec Ops  initiatives including security scanning and compliance enforcement.
Translate technical requirements into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement in operational health and deployment velocity.
5. Reliability & Observability
Implement monitoring and observability frameworks using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Participate in incident response and postmortem reviews.
Develop and maintain operational runbooks and knowledge-sharing practices.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of overall technology experience with 5+ years in Dev Ops or platform engineering roles.
2+ years of experience leading Dev Ops teams (5+ engineers).
Experience working in distributed or offshore team models.
Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (cluster management, networking, security).
Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or Git Hub Actions and artifact management using Nexus.
Strong experience with Git workflows and repository management (Git Hub).
Cloud platform experience with AWS and GCP (Azure is a plus).

Experience with Helm, container registries, and container security best practices.
Experience working in distributed computing or big data processing environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant certifications (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.).
Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Databricks.
Experience supporting SQL-based processing systems, data lakes, and analytics platforms.

Experience with Git Ops tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  practices and security scanning tools.
Background in data-intensive, analytics-driven, or enterprise modernization programs.
