Microsoft Dynamics Lead; Dynamics 365 & Plains

Position: Microsoft Dynamics Lead (Dynamics 365 & Great Plains)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of our Microsoft Dynamics practice, with strong expertise in Dynamics 365 and working knowledge of Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP), including migration scenarios. This role requires a blend of technical depth, solution architecture capability, client delivery ownership, and the ability to mentor and upskill internal team members. The ideal candidate will act as both a delivery lead and a practice enabler, helping establish standards, frameworks, and competencies aligned with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Practice Development & Leadership
Contribute to building and scaling the Microsoft Dynamics practice.
Define solution offerings, accelerators, and reusable frameworks.
Support pre-sales activities including demos, estimations, and proposals.
Identify capability gaps and recommend training or hiring plans.
Solution Delivery
Lead end-to-end implementation of Dynamics 365 solutions (Finance, Supply Chain, Business Central, or CRM modules as applicable).
Manage and execute migration projects from Great Plains to Dynamics 365.
Perform solution architecture, system configuration, integrations, and deployment oversight.
Ensure delivery quality, documentation standards, and adherence to best practices.
Act as primary technical escalation point for project challenges.
Migration Expertise
Assess legacy Great Plains environments and define migration strategies.
Lead data migration planning, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
Identify risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities during transitions.
Training & Mentorship
Train and mentor junior consultants and new team members on Dynamics capabilities.
Conduct internal workshops, knowledge sessions, and documentation creation.
Simplify complex concepts for both technical and business audiences.
Client Engagement
Interact with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate into solutions.
Provide strategic advisory on Dynamics adoption and optimization.
Build long-term client relationships and identify expansion opportunities.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics platforms.
Proven experience with at least one major Dynamics 365 implementation lifecycle.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), including support or migration exposure.
Experience in data migration tools, integrations, and reporting frameworks.
Strong understanding of business processes across finance, operations, or CRM domains.
Ability to lead workshops, requirement gathering, and solution design sessions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central migrations.
Exposure to Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics or Power Platform.
Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
Familiarity with Azure services and integration patterns.
