Principal Data Scientist-GenAI

We are hiring a senior-level Machine Learning leader to drive Generative AI initiatives. This role focuses on building and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal AI solutions for document processing, especially technical drawings and complex manufacturing documents. You will provide technical leadership, define best practices, and align AI solutions with business goals.

Hyderabad (Hybrid – 3 days office: Mon, Wed, Fri)
Timing:  1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST

Key Responsibilities
Lead technical direction and roadmap for Generative AI projects.
Develop and deploy LLMs and multimodal AI models (text + image).
Build solutions to extract structured data from technical documents and drawings.
Fine-tune generative and vision-language models.
Design scalable data pipelines for model training.
Use cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for model development and deployment.
Collaborate with engineering and business teams for real-world AI applications.
Mentor team members and drive ML best practices.
Continuously improve model performance and stay updated with latest AI research.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MS/PhD preferred (CS, AI, ML or related field).
7+ years in Machine Learning/Data Science with strong focus on Generative AI.
Hands-on experience with Transformers, GPT, Vision-Language Models.
Experience in multimodal AI (text + image processing).
Strong Python skills (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, pandas, numpy).
Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and optimization.

Experience with AWS (e.g., Sage Maker) or similar cloud platforms.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
Nice to Have:  Experience in manufacturing or supply chain domain.
