The Sr. Administrator - IT & Network will manage and secure our IT infrastructure. This role involves overseeing systems, networks, and especially firewall configurations and network security protocols to ensure optimal performance and protection against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Systems Management:
- Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
Firewall & Network Security:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Implement and enforce network security policies and access controls.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated IT issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
- Support user onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, firewall rules, and IT procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR).
- Assist in audits and prepare reports on system health and security.
Project & Vendor Management:
- Lead IT infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with hardware/software vendors.
- Recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration, with a focus on network and security.
- Certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, MCSE.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux Systems, Active Directory, and Cloud Platforms.
- Expertise in firewall management and network security protocols.
- Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
- Network design and VLAN management
- Scripting (Power Shell, Bash)
- Backup and disaster recovery planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
