Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Designer & Developer who can independently design, develop, and deliver high-quality dashboards and reports. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, business understanding, and a creative UX/UI mindset.

The ideal candidate is a data storyteller who can transform complex datasets into clear, visually compelling, and actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports end-to-end
- Convert business requirements into intuitive, visually engaging dashboards
- Deliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis with quick turnaround times
- Apply UX/UI principles to create user-friendly, clean, and impactful dashboards
- Develop and optimize data models, measures, and calculations using DAX
- Connect and work with multiple data sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud sources, etc.)
- Ensure dashboards are performance-optimized, scalable, and secure
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define KPIs and improve data storytelling
- Follow Power BI best practices and maintain clear documentation

Required

Skills & Qualifications

- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Power BI design and development
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX
- Proven ability to independently design dashboards from scratch
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
- Experience in ad-hoc reporting and interactive dashboarding
- Solid knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful insights

UX/UI & Creative Expectations

- Strong eye for visual design, layout, and consistency
- Ability to create dashboards that are simple, intuitive, and visually appealing
- Experience applying UX principles such as usability, readability, and logical navigation
- Creative mindset to enhance dashboards beyond standard templates

Nice to Have

- Experience with Figma or dashboard wire framing tools
- Exposure to Power BI performance tuning and large datasets
- Experience working with cross-functional business teams
- Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
