The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support business analytics and machine learning feature engineering. The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and is skilled in preparing high-quality datasets for ML model development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for both analytical and machine learning purposes.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to implement feature engineering pipelines that feed machine learning models.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Optimize and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes for performance and efficiency.
- Implement automated workflows and monitoring to ensure continuous data availability.
- Develop reusable data processing scripts, tools, and frameworks to accelerate feature creation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Support model deployment by ensuring ML models have access to clean, well-structured, and up-to-date features.

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, or data platform development.
- Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, or other data processing frameworks for large-scale data transformation.

- Experience with feature engineering for machine learning models.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).

- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

- Experience in ML-focused data pipelines and feature stores.
- Familiarity with MLOps or model deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks and real-time data processing.
- Experience working in AI/ML product teams.
