Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to understand, refine, and estimate functional requirements captured in user stories
- Work closely with architects to define and validate architecture and software design for components and modules
- Design and implement web UI components and features using modern frontend technologies and frameworks
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define REST APIs and handle API-driven data processing
- Write unit tests and support QA teams in defining end-to-end test cases and automated testing
- Work with UX teams to refine visual design and enhance user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies and tools
- Drive and support technology teams to proactively manage delivery, balancing scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, communication, and budgets
- Establish CI/CD practices to ensure scalable, high-performance, and globally delivered solutions
- Deliver solutions aligned with HSBC’s strategic vision and technology roadmap

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Experience designing and developing user interfaces for software products
- Experience building responsive and reusable UI/UX components using JavaScript and frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.
- Strong knowledge of web standards including HTML, CSS, SASS, and accessibility
- Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data
- Strong experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, and Python
- Familiarity with database technologies:
MySQL, Postgre

SQL, Mongo

DB, Oracle
- Experience working with visual designs, design systems, and prototypes (Figma, InVision, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and work independently as well as in a global team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team mindset with a willingness to collaborate and iterate
- Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
