Key Responsibilities
Research
- Develop and sustain a high-impact, externally funded research program with publications in top-tier journals and premier conferences (e.g., IEEE/ACM Transactions, NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, SIGCOMM, S&P, STOC/FOCS).
- Attract competitive research funding from national and international agencies and industry partners.
- Supervise Ph.D. candidates and guide postdoctoral researchers.
- Lead cutting-edge research initiatives that intersect with societal challenges and technology transformation.
Teaching & Curriculum Development
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses with excellence.
- Develop and innovate curriculum that reflects emerging trends and helps students excel in academia and industry.
- Employ evidence-based and inclusive pedagogical practices.
- Mentor student research, capstone projects, internships, and competitions.
Service & Leadership
- Participate in academic governance, strategic committees, and program development.
- Build and nurture industry, governmental, and academic partnerships.
- Engage in outreach and service that enhances the reputation of the School and University.
- Contribute to global academic networks and scholarly communities.
Qualifications
Academic Credentials
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a reputable research university.
- A strong record of scholarly achievement with a trajectory of high-quality publications.
Research Excellence
- Evidence of impactful research recognized at regional, national, or international levels.
- Funding track record (or strong potential), awards, honors, and invited talks.
- Demonstrated leadership in research collaborations and multi-disciplinary projects.
Teaching & Mentorship
- Proven ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations.
- Experience supervising graduate research and guiding technological exploration.
- Strong commitment to pedagogical innovation.
Professional Engagement
- Active involvement in professional societies (e.g., ACM, IEEE, AAAI, INNS, SIGPLAN).
- Organization of workshops, conference panels, editorial service, or review leadership.
