Job SummaryThe Roofing Mechanic will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Role and Responsibilities- Responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial and residential roofing systems
- Be on time for all shifts and ready to go at the assigned time with all personal tools and PPE.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including Foremen, Crew Members, Superintendents, General Superintendent and Contractors, to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Mentor less‑experienced crew members.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients to coordinate project activities and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Assist in setup and tear down of safety equipment as instructed.
- Complete required safety training such as fall protections or OSHA.
- Ensure high‑quality workmanship and attention to detail in all roofing projects.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify that rooking systems meet established standards and specifications.
- Maintain and care for roofing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to your supervisor promptly.

Qualifications and Education Requirements- Proven experience as a Roofer or Roofing Mechanic, with at least 5 years of relevant experience with commercial roofing applications.
- Ability and comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to handle at least 50lbs
- Sheet Metal, slate and/or tile experience.
- First Aid/CPR
- OSHA
