Position DescriptionThe Field Technician I provides technical support services for personnel by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a high-volume, SLA-driven environment. The technician delivers customer support via phone and email, logs incidents into the ticketing system, and ensures timely resolution of technical problems. Responsibilities include supporting Windows 10/11 systems, Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Outlook), and remote access technologies such as Citrix and VPN solutions.
The role also involves performing basic Active Directory administration tasks, including creating user accounts, assigning permissions, and resetting passwords. The technician will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices (Android and iOS) while providing support for both Windows and Apple/Mac systems.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues in an IT support environment
- Help Desk/User Support experience providing telephone and remote support to local and remote users
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook
- Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and mobile devices (Android and iPhone/iOS)
- Experience supporting Apple/Mac desktops and laptops
- Knowledge of Active Directory including user account creation, permission management, and password resets
- Experience with remote support tools such as Citrix, Remote Desktop, and VPN technologies (e.g., Zscaler)
- Basic understanding of networking, wireless connectivity, and remote access troubleshooting
- Experience using a ticketing system for incident management
- High School Diploma or GED
