FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER COORDINATOR Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (required).
  • Translator certification may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the mental health field (preferred).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required).
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
  • Knowledge of mental health and/or substance use issues, including relevant ethical guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Respond to emails, calls, and messages within 1 business day
  • Provide weekly task spreadsheet
  • Ensure all Clinicians, Interns, and DCS have FSW coverage
  • Ensure PMHNP has FSW coverage
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and termination.
  • Approve FSW invoices
  • Identify/Coordinate training to improve interpretation skills of FSWs
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and trainings
  • Adhere to deadlines for documentation and reporting
  • Timely completion of tasks associated with Key Performance Indicators and identify issues, provide trends, and recommendations as needed
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team as needed to accomplish Key Performance Indicators
  • Coordinate coverage with Business Continuity Plan (BCP) individual, including updating BCP plan that provides necessary information to fulfill duties, and any upcoming tasks during leave
  • Inform OMHC Director of planned leave – a minimum of 7 days prior to scheduled leave
  • Inform OMHC Director of changes in weekly availability
  • Keep OMHC Director informed of any changes in availability/schedule that may lead to challenges completing position responsibilities.
