Position SummaryThe Clinical Director is a senior clinical and operational leader responsible for the strategic oversight, quality performance, and day‑to‑day clinical operations of integrated primary care services at Your Wellness Sources (YWS). This role is designed for a board‑certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Maryland with a minimum of five (5) years of outpatient clinical experience and demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
The Clinical Director partners closely with executive leadership to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and patient‑centered care while leading clinical teams, optimizing workflows, strengthening documentation and billing performance, and supporting sustainable program growth. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership, requiring a hands‑on leader who can balance operational accountability with clinical excellence.
- Base Salary: $140,000 – $165,000, commensurate with experience and leadership background
- Annual performance‑based bonus tied to quality outcomes, productivity, documentation compliance, and service line growth
- Eligible for HRSA Health Workforce Loan Repayment Program (up to $50,000 annually, based on eligibility)

- Provide direct patient care including evaluation, diagnosis, chronic disease management, preventive care, and medication management
- Serve as a clinical role model for evidence‑based Internal Medicine practice
- Integrate behavioral health screening, nutrition, and wellness services into care delivery
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with billing and coding standards
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate clinical providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Conduct chart reviews, audits, and clinical competency assessments
- Ensure compliance with Maryland regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and payer standards
- Oversee clinical workflows, scheduling templates, and access standards
- Collaborate with HR and credentialing on onboarding, licensure, CAQH, and payer enrollment
- Support budget planning, staffing models, and productivity monitoring
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement plans
- Monitor clinical dashboards and patient outcome metrics
- Support accreditation readiness and regulatory surveys
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP or Adult‑Gerontology Primary Care)
- Active, unrestricted Maryland NP license (required)
- Minimum 5 years of outpatient clinical practice (required)
- Demonstrated leadership experience (clinical lead, supervisor, preceptor, or program lead)
- Active DEA and Maryland CDS registration
- Strong proficiency with EHR systems (Athena One preferred)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume outpatient clinical environments
- Experience in integrated or multidisciplinary care models
- Familiarity with CARF, HRSA, or value-based care environments
- Budgeting and operational decision-making experience
- Advanced degree or leadership training (DNP, MPH, MBA preferred)
- Outpatient integrated care environment
- Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities
- Combination of in‑person and telehealth clinical care
- An experienced NP who has led or mentored other providers
- A clinician comfortable balancing patient care with operational leadership
- A leader who values documentation excellence, compliance, and quality metrics
- New graduates or NPs with less than 5 years of clinical experience
