Position: Parts Specialist - 401k, Benefits Day 1, PTO

Overview

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30a-4p, Saturday work as needed.

Preferred candidates will: be ok working outside or in a shop exposed to weather elements, loud noises, and strong odors; have experience with purchase orders and maintaining inventory; have knowledge of auto / mechanical parts; have strong organizational and computer skills; be self-motivated; have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
  • Provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental Managers, and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations, including recording and reporting data.
  • Manages all aspects of parts purchasing and inventory control including tire purchasing through the company’s internal tire purchase management system.
  • Maintains inventory minimum and maximum parts levels and conducts the biannual physical parts inventory count.
  • Administers and maintains purchase order requisitions through WM purchasing software systems and maintain SOX compliance.
  • Reconciles all fleet purchases.
  • Prepares for all month-end processes and procedures in a timely manner meeting required month-end reporting deadlines.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Maintains and distributes department related information on a daily basis.
  • Completes and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the department manager.
  • Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
  • Assists with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
  • Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
  • Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
  • Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A. Education and Experience

    Education:

    High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited);

    Experience:

    Three years relevant work experience in a comparable role.
  • B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
    None required.
  • C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
    Knowledge and practical ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office software.

The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $22 - $26.86. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
