ICU Nurse Job Details
  • Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 – Cape Cod healthcare jobs in a coastal, historic setting
  • Assignment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Start Date: January 5, 2026
  • End Date: April 4, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
  • Shift: 12-hour rotating nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
  • Unit: Float between ICU and CVICU
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 – $2250
ICU RN Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams (or willingness to complete upon hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Preferred: BSN, CCRN, TCAR, de-escalation certification, and experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality critical care nursing to ICU and CVICU patients
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Educate and guide ancillary healthcare staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Develop individualized care and discharge plans
  • Communicate patient data to interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
  • Support staff orientation and ongoing education
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Follow hospital policies, safety, and infection control procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and represent the hospital within the Massachusetts healthcare community
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisors
