Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:
The position is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable function. Duties include timely review, approval, and processing of all invoices and expense vouchers for payment. Department is responsible for timely filing of required government reports and payment per our operating agreements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Accounts Payable operation. Maintain accurate vendor files and resolve any conflicts with vendors. Work with appropriate Department Managers for approvals and budget coding. Communicate cash plan to finance department
- Accurately issue and document vendor payments by paper check, portal, ACH, or wire as required
- Manage accounts payable clerks in a manner that meets month-end deadlines
- Review and provide month-end AP aging to management
- Maintain mechanism for Employee expense reimbursements and Customer Refunds to be handled quickly
- Supervise timely reports and payments per agreements for leases of property, facilities, and equipment. Maintain accurate records and reports for same
- Support accuracy of monthly financial statements
- Oversee fuel accounting, including maintenance of station fuel spreadsheets, statement reconciliations, and vendor payments. Review routine costs for inclusion
- Serve as Cape Air notary public
- Oversee completion of credit applications. Assist in opening direct bill accounts and providing State sales tax exemptions
- Manage, prepare and file 1099's and Informative Returns at year end
- Aid in year-end audit as needed
- Additional duties as assigned

- Perform computations quickly and accurately
- Work cooperatively with other divisions or agencies to reconcile accounts and resolve problems
