Kitchen Leader

The Kitchen Lead sees to it that the kitchen is clean, organized, well stocked, and that all equipment is properly maintained. They train crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders while ensuring food quality, safety, and efficient service for guests.

• Prepare and cook food to order, following Chipotle’s policies and procedures.
• Monitor food waste, inventory levels, and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house crew and front‑of‑house crew.
• Develop crew members toward future Kitchen Lead positions.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment, keeping it in good repair and arranging repairs when needed.
• Maintain safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete required documentation such as MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the work location, written and spoken.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
