Shop Foreman – Structural Steel Fabrication (Central Texas)

We are looking for a highly skilled Shop Foreman to join our Central Texas structural steel fabrication shop. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can overcome obstacles, adapt to client demands, and keep the team focused and productive. This position requires someone who can effectively delegate, maintain a safety‑first environment, and elevate the skill level of the shop crew.

• Understand and interpret steel fabrication shop drawings
• Strong blueprint reading skills (Required)
• Oversee commercial and industrial fabrication operations
• Assess employee skill levels and drive training for continuous improvement
• Enforce company policies and maintain a strict “safety first” culture
• Coordinate daily workflow, manpower, and job priorities
• Produce and review cut lists
• Troubleshoot fabrication plans and drawings; communicate with detailers to resolve issues
• Track materials, deliveries, and shipments (with support)
• QC finished products for dimensional accuracy
• Manage shop equipment needs and serve as primary point of contact
• Monitor surplus material and maintain shop supply inventory

• Full‑time: 40–60 hours/week
• Overtime: Mandatory as required by workload
• Pay: $25–$32/hr, based on experience
