Purpose:

Provide direct academic support services to identified students. Work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide leadership, support, classroom modeling, coaching, and staff development to teachers in related subject-area. Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the student growth. Work with students individually and in small groups, bringing them up to grade level reading and/or math standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

* Master's degree or in process of completing master's degree from accredited university

* Valid Texas teaching certificate

* 3 years of teaching experience required

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Knowledge of curriculum, curriculum design and implementation and instruction

* Knowledge of intervention instructional strategies and best practices

* Ability to instruct students and manage behavior

* Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and educators

* Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide intervention support to at-risk students and support classroom teaching

* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
