Position: Patient Care Aide ( Days ): Full-Time

Patient Care Aide (PCA):
Full‑Time — 7am to 7:30pm

Valley Hope of Moundridge offers a dedicated and mission‑driven environment where every team member’s work matters. We provide residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 2010.

Education & Experience
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
  • Preferred:
    One (1) year of experience in a behavioral or healthcare environment with direct patient care.
  • Preferred:
    Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
  • Required:

    Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred:
    Patient Care Technician Certification (PCTC).
Compensation
  • Starting base pay: $16.00 per hour.
Shift Differentials
  • Night: $4.25
  • Weekend Night: $4.75
  • Weekend Day: $1.00

Job Summary
  • Assists nursing staff in providing care per treatment plans.
  • Measures vital signs, monitors patient health, and assists with everyday needs.
  • Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patient treatment and status.
  • Records treatment activities and patient observations accurately and timely; completes required paperwork.
  • Transports patients as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, sanitary environment using infection control techniques and universal precautions.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPAA.
  • Maintains current working knowledge of applicable medical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and federal/state guidelines.
  • Obtains and maintains CPR certification within the first six months of employment.

  • Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
