Job Description
The pay range per hour is $21.25 - $36.15. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. About ClosingThe Closing team continues the momentum from the team’s day of hard work to finish strong; they take care of the guest until the doors close each night. They prioritize through the eyes of the guest, have a deep understanding of each leader’s vision for their business, and have fun with the team while nailing closing routines.
Key Responsibilities- Guest service fundamentals and experience building and fostering a guest first culture across the store.
- Driving storewide sales volume and profitability results.
- Developing effective business partnerships across store to achieve common goals.
- Workload efficiency across the store including leading closing routines and coaching team members in all areas.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
- Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.
- Understand your role in sales growth and how each area contributes to and impacts total store profitability.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
- Problem solve and prioritize across multiple business areas to execute store strategies as initiated by the Store Director or Executive Team Leader to deliver business results and store sales goals while prioritizing the guest experience.
- Assist leaders through communication and collaboration to influence current sales performance and workload deliverables, leverage daily check-ins, check-outs and meetings as connection points.
- Support operations by seeing the store through the lens of the guest, establish consistent routines and help ensure departments are zoned, in‑stock, signed and labeled appropriately.
- Use business planning tools to share priorities and business updates with store leadership.
- Take action to achieve performance goals.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest‑centric team.
- Support team onboarding and learning and help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team member interactions.
- Partner with leaders as needed to share performance feedback.
- Follow all safety and security training and processes.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- Lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; hold team accountable.
- Model safe behaviors, identify and correct hazards, assist with incident response.
- Engage guests in a welcoming way and solve their specific needs.
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
- Model the execution of physical security processes.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive‑up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests and team members.
- You thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key.
- You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).
