Overview
Retail Customer Service Associate at Fed Ex Office. The role focuses on delivering a positive customer experience, using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. Knowledge across print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending Fed Ex Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates equipment, moves supplies, manages production queue and output, handles complex projects, and completes tasks by priority.
Responsibilities- Follows instructions of supervisors and assists other team members in performing store functions
- Assists in training store team members
- Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s individualized need
- Provides customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines; recommends appropriate Fed Ex Office products and services
- Provides an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
- Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information
- Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping; wraps items, weighs packages, and labels parcels
- Sets up and operates printing, binding, and related equipment using customer media and documents
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
- Ensures confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
- Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal, including handling cash and making change
- Cleans, repairs, and stocks retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
- Stays current on merchandising materials and ensures proper display of product and signage
- Takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
- Completes required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting
- Follows standard operating procedures and applicable policies
- Operates with minimal supervision and can manage multiple tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during shift
- Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at waist and knees regularly
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Regular attendance and ability to report to work as required
