Carrier Assistant

Thirty (30) City Carrier Assistants (CCA) needed in Utah.

We are hiring for the position of City Carrier Assistant (CCA) for many post offices throughout Utah, including several positions along the Wasatch Front and within Utah County.

A CCA delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle under varying road and weather conditions.

Starting pay is $19.33 hourly.

• Delivers mail along a prescribed route.
• Uses portable electronic scanner.
• Deposits collected mail in the post office.
• Furnishes customers with postal information.
• Delivers stamps or other paper supplies.
• Works professionally with other employees in the office.
• Ability to be physically active during work hours.
• Have strength to handle heavy objects.
• Have a great attitude and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
• A criminal background check including a 5-year residential history within the United States or its territories.
• Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U.S. Postal Service's requirement to be drug free.
• Must have a valid state driver's license, and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.
• After application online, must successfully complete Postal Service Virtual Entry Assessment.
• As per USPS regulations-18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma.
