Controller / Operations Manager About the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Controller / Operations Manager to oversee the company’s daily financial operations and recurring accounting processes. This is a working role responsible for consistent execution of daily, weekly, and monthly financial monitoring activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, product-based environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Monitor daily bank activity, ACH/wire transactions, and positive pay
- Manage credit card processing and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare monthly accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Produce monthly financial reporting
Cash Flow & Compliance
- Manage multi-state sales tax registrations and renewals
- Maintain resale certificates and Avalara administration
- Support PCI compliance and internal controls
Coordinate annual insurance audits and renewals
Commissions & Revenue Support
- Calculate and validate monthly sales commissions
- Maintain commission documentation and tracking
- Monitor aging receivables
ERP & Operational Systems (Net Suite)
- Create and maintain inventory items and pricing
- Support order processing workflows
- Maintain system controls and user access
- Partner with external Net Suite consultants on improvements
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of A/R, A/P, cash management, and monthly close
- ERP experience required (Net Suite preferred)
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or product-based businesses preferred
- Experience with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-directed with strong follow-through
The pay range for this role is:
68,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Headquarters)
