Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

• As a Guest Advocate, no two days are the same. A typical day will include the following responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests who need assistance to help solve their specific needs
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain and demonstrate Target App features, Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; assist guests with enrollment and use
• Handle returns following policy and consult with leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties with compliance to applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times

• Ability to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to use multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and technology as directed
• Ability to work independently and in a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within established time frames

• Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office support as needed
• Safely move merchandise; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance
• Must be mobile for duration of shift; exposure to varying temperatures and conditions depending on duties
