Preferred Student Classification: We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable student worker with strong communication and analytical skills to join our Cloud Application Support Team. The role offers hands‑on experience in implementing cloud security practices and maintaining secure access to cloud‑based systems that support the university’s operations. As a valued team member, you will gain practical knowledge in cloud technologies, collaborate with IT professionals, and contribute meaningfully to the security and documentation of critical information systems.
Responsibilities- Cloud Security & Access Management: Assist in implementing and verifying security controls.
- Support password management, permissions updates, and user access in line with security policies.
- System Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create clear documentation for permissions management, role updates, and user lifecycle processes.
- Ensure information is easy for others to follow and aligned with compliance standards.
- Security Awareness & Training: Complete cybersecurity training modules to build foundational security knowledge.
- Apply learned concepts when working with system owners and cloud platforms.
- Client Engagement &
Collaboration:
Work directly with system owners to understand their environments. - Document system configurations, security practices, and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to Security Initiatives: Participate in compliance efforts for cloud applications.
- Assist the team with audits, reviews, and reporting.
- Additional Duties: Support team projects as needed.
