Full‑time. Standard schedule:
Tuesday to Friday 9:00 am–6:00 pm and Saturday 9:30 am–4:00 pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time depending on business needs. Compensation: $13.46–$17.20 per hour plus bonus potential.
The Connection is a unique garden‑style community consisting of 288 units and 792 beds, designed with Sam Houston State University students in mind.
Responsibilities & Duties- Demonstrate excellent customer service during each encounter with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
- Participate and assist with the execution and development of marketing efforts on campus and in the community, customer appreciation events, and other special events.
- Answer incoming phone calls, drop‑ins, and email inquiries professionally and handle them accordingly.
- Act as a lead salesperson when the Leasing Manager is offsite by conducting all tours, responding to leasing inquiries, and completing follow‑ups with the prospective residents.
- Be an expert on current market conditions, trends, and local competitors.
- Monitor community, clubhouse, amenities, and other common areas for superior curb appeal, general cleanliness, and organization.
- Assist the Leasing Manager with posting updates and communication through social media.
- Associate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, and/or one or more years of progressive experience in student housing.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a growing, fast‑paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated individual who excels at working in a team environment.
- Understand standards of property management including Fair Housing laws, Tenant/Landlord rights, and general real estate principles.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Experience with Entrata software is preferred.
