Usual Duties The Lecturer-Pool Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate Athletic Training courses within the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and Athletic Training, dependent upon an applicants academic background, experience, and credentials. Pool faculty contracts are for one semester based on departmental needs but may be renewed based on performance and need. Departmental need is driven by student enrollment and internal workload commitments.

Preferred Areas of Expertise Include:
Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Performance Enhancement, Urgent and Emergent Care and/or Primary Care.
Masters degree in Athletic Training or Related Field of Study
Experience RequirementsMust have current state licensure and hold National Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC). Please upload Athletic Training Texas State License and Athletic Training Certification from the Board of Certification under optional document - Teaching Portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications:
EMT Instructor Certification and/or EMT Advanced Certification, Teaching experience, Experience teaching in a CAATE accredited program, Experience as a Clinical Preceptor for a CAATE accredited program.

Special Instructions SummaryTravel to SHSU Campuses in Huntsville, TX, Conroe, TX, and/or The Woodlands, TX are required for some positions, typically 2-3 days/week. A minimum of two hours of office hours are expected weekly during the academic term. Experience in online teaching and online training and certificates required for those who teach online courses.
