Nature & Purpose Of PositionThis position’s duties may include:
- Teaching Assistant (Lab TA):
Presenting an introduction to the physics concepts and laboratory techniques at the beginning of each lab session - Monitoring student progress and providing assistance and encouragement as needed
- Keeping accurate records of student attendance
- Collecting pre-lab assignments at the start of lab and post-lab reports at the end of the session
- Responding promptly and effectively to student emails
- Grading all assignments
- Submitting grades to instructors in a timely manner
OR
- Astronomy Grader:
Grading assignments as requested by the instructor.
This position is for students who have completed PHYS 1403 and PHYS 1404 with a grade of B or higher and have been referred by faculty for consideration.
