Nature & Purpose Of PositionThe Service Staff Lead will help management with the development, operation and supporting of various areas within the department, including maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, public areas, inventory, policies, and procedures, and other. Meeting and communicating with management on a consistent basis are expected.
Service Staff Lead Responsibilities- Department strategies
- Training and development
- Meetings and workshops
- Inventory
- Operating PMS systems
- Assigning tasks
- Area inspections
- Preventative maintenance (locks, a/c filters, carpets, mattress rotations, deep cleaning, etc.)
- After-hours and on-call
- Housekeeping
- Maintenance
- Laundry
- Public areas
- SHSU and hotel event participation (as needed)
- Other duties as assigned
Service Staff Lead Qualities: Should be knowledgeable, capable, available, and willing to work effectively, efficiently, and consistently in any area or shift within their department if needed (in compliance with SHSU class schedule).
Other Requirements For The Position- Must be available weekends (Saturday and Sunday), holidays and breaks (summer, winter, spring).
- After-hour and on-call availability.
- Hotel experience helpful, but not required.
