Nature & Purpose Of Position

To perform technical work as required with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music concerts and recitals; setup/teardown of stage for concerts and recitals; stage managing concerts and recitals; assisting with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music; enforcing performance hall rules.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical work with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music performances.
  • Setup and teardown of stage for concerts and recitals.
  • Stage managing concerts and recitals.
  • Assist with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music.
  • Enforce performance hall rules.
Qualifications
  • Weekend and Evening availability.
  • Stage or technical theatrical experience a plus.
  • Must have a basic understanding of music recitals and be able to read music.
  • Must be dependable and able to work a varied schedule.
  • Must have the ability to work independently within small and large teams.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.
  • Assistants should be confident, friendly, and comfortable working with faculty and other students.
