Nature & Purpose Of PositionTo perform technical work as required with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music concerts and recitals; setup/teardown of stage for concerts and recitals; stage managing concerts and recitals; assisting with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music; enforcing performance hall rules.
Responsibilities- Perform technical work with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music performances.
- Setup and teardown of stage for concerts and recitals.
- Stage managing concerts and recitals.
- Assist with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music.
- Enforce performance hall rules.
- Weekend and Evening availability.
- Stage or technical theatrical experience a plus.
- Must have a basic understanding of music recitals and be able to read music.
- Must be dependable and able to work a varied schedule.
- Must have the ability to work independently within small and large teams.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Assistants should be confident, friendly, and comfortable working with faculty and other students.
