Educational and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field. Three years professional experience in teaching, training personnel, employee development, leadership development, project management, and event planning, or a related field. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
On-site position requiring periodic travel.
Nature & Purpose of PositionProvides coordination and support in the planning, development, and delivery of the assigned LEMIT program. Assists the Program Manager by ensuring all operational, logistical, and participant-focused components of the program are executed effectively.
Primary Responsibilities- Coordinate overall program scheduling, calendar management, and reservation of classrooms.
- Negotiate contracts with instructors and develop the registration process.
- Order supplies, negotiate hotel room block contracts, and negotiate banquet and audio-visual services.
- Speak in front of groups and manage classroom effectively.
- Analyze information accurately, adopt effective course of action, and solve complex technical problems. gt;
- Assume independent responsibility for decisions and actions, direct work of team members, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Develop relationships with participants, instructors, and professional organizations.
Important contacts with other University departments, State and Federal agencies, and outside vendors.
