The Department of Human Sciences invites applications for a qualified instructor in the ACEND-accredited undergraduate B.S. Food Science and Nutrition program. Duties will include teaching one or more undergraduate lecture and/or lecture/lab courses for the Fall 2025 semester. Lecturer-Pool faculty are term positions hired to teach one to four courses per semester. Hiring is based on student demand, and on a semester-by-semester basis.
DegreeRequirements
Applicants must have at least an earned master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, or a closely related field of study. A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours within the discipline are required.
Experience Requirements- Registered Dietitians (R.D.) accredited by the Commission of Dietetic Registration are preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in dietetic practice and teaching at the college level.
- Ability to teach courses such as Food Preparation and Safety, Cultural Foods, and Advanced Nutrition is especially encouraged.
