This is a tenure-track, nine‑month appointment (additional summer teaching is a possibility). Teaching load is nine hours per long semester. Duties include teaching both face‑to‑face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, and providing service to the department, college, university, and national organizations. We seek excellent teachers who can bring experience‑based credibility to the classroom while advancing the research reputation of the department and the college.
Preferred candidates should be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s College of Business Administration) and will maintain that qualification.
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses (face‑to‑face and online).
- Conducting original research and publishing in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Providing service to the department, college, university, and national organizations.
Degree Requirements
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance from an AACSB‑accredited business program. ABDs with expected graduation by Fall 2026 are considered.
Experience Requirements
Demonstrated ability to publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
