Nature & Purpose Of PositionThe photographer is responsible for representing the SHSU Campus Recreation brand through visual images that will be used in publications, advertising, website, and social media platforms. The photographer provides marketing support by photographing and filming stock video of live events and staged shoots. This position is also responsible for editing photographs and videos and assisting with general marketing support.
Responsibilities- Photographing activities relating to Campus Recreation
- Importing, editing, and organizing photos after shoots
- Finalizing images in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom
- Ability to be artistic while at the same time creating professional photos
- Performing the duties of the marketing ambassador when needed
- Attend monthly staff meetings, trainings and in-services
- Adhere to departmental guidelines and policies
- Be efficient in the use of DSLR camera
- Show sufficient sports or movement based photographing skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture
- Have most evenings open
- Attend one meeting a month; one training per semester
- Communicate with Marketing Supervisor effectively
