Nature & Purpose of PositionThis position reports directly to the Marketing Coordinator and supports the division’s marketing and communications efforts. The student worker will assist with developing and executing a social media plan, creating graphics and short-form video across platforms including Instagram and Facebook, and ensuring all content aligns with the VPSA and University brand standards and overall goals. The student worker will also assist with the design, advertising, and promotion of materials such as flyers, maps, t-shirts, table tents, and other promotional items.
The student worker may support basic photography needs for events, programs, and promotional use. The student worker will collaborate with professional staff in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and must be able to work independently with little supervision. In addition to design and marketing responsibilities, the student worker will perform general office duties, including answering phones, running errands, assisting professional staff with projects, and managing incoming mail.
- Develop and execute a social media plan for the division.
- Create graphics and short-form video for platforms including Instagram and Facebook, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Assist with design, advertising, and promotion of materials (flyers, maps, t-shirts, table tents, and other promotional items).

- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or other graphic design software
- Ability to assist with photography for marketing and promotional purposes
- Experience creating and posting content for social media platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Motivated self-learner with a willingness to grow skills and adapt to new tools and processes
