CAM Production Technicians serve primarily as student employees along side the CAM Production Team in the Scene Shop in the College of Arts & Media. Duties include carpentry, scenic painting, prop making, theatrical lighting, audio engineering and general shop and facility maintenance. These positions also are utilized for special event set up and tear down within CAM.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include performing duties related to theatre production in the CAM Scene Shop, supporting the CAM Production Team, and assisting with setup and teardown for events.
Qualifications- Must be able to work collectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs., work at elevated heights, work in dark and tights spaces.
- Must have completed THEA 1115.
- Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must not have failed a class in your majored field.
- Work attire requires fully closed-toed shoes and appropriate workplace environment attire. Any long hair must be able to be tied back for work with power tools.
- Must adhere to all safety procedures/ protocols and be familiar with a wood shop type environment.
- Student workers will primarily be expected to work 2-5pm, M-F, however evening, weekend, student holiday and summer time work is also expected upon notification in advance.
